PP Dr. Shyamsunder Deshpande Maharaj

PP Dr. Shyamsunder Sheshrao Deshpande Maharaj was born on 24th April 1943 in Jintur, Dist. Parbhani in the Marathwada area of Maharashtra State in India. 

He is an highly educated individual who has obtained a Doctorate degree from one of India's topmost institutes, The Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai. Before that, he also obtained M. Tech and B. E. (Civil) degrees. 

He was a high ranking government officer and worked as an Upper Secretary in the Water Supply Department of Maharashtra State. He voluntarily resigned from work in the year 1990 in order to help his Spiritual Guru PP Shri Narayankaka Dhekane Maharaj to spread the path of Mahayoga (Siddhayoga) throughout the world. 

PP Dr. Deshpande Maharaj was initiated in Mahayoga (Siddhayoga) the year 1984 by PP Shri Narayankaka Dhekane Maharaj. 

In order to spread the path of Mahayoga (Siddhayoga), PP Dr. Deshpande Maharaj established an Ashram, near his place of residence, where the sadhaks could meditate and seek guidance. He actively contributed in establishing PP Shri Loknathtirth Swami Maharaj Mahayoga Trust at Nashik. 

In 2003-2004, he visited USA and actively tried to spread the path of Mahayoga. Later in the year 2007, he accompanied PP Shri Narayankaka Dhekane Maharaj on the tour of US and UK, that was undertaken for more than three months in order to spread the path in the Western world. Later he accompanied PP Shri Narayankaka Dhekane Maharaj during the tour of Kuwait and Bahrain too. Some of the photos of the US, UK, Kuwait, Bahrain tour are displayed in the photo gallery. 

PP Dr. Deshpande Maharaj is always ready to provide guidance to seekers. He also participates in virtual guidance sessions. He is passionate about PP Shri Narayankaka Dhekane Maharaj's dream of spreading the path of Mahayoga in the whole world. Even when he has crossed 80 years of age, he still is passionate about Mahayoga and still continues to guide Sadhaks, gives speeches and writes articles.
